First post for 2010!!!

It's been a while since I made my last blog entry. Many things have happened since.. Especially in the year 2010. The following are some of it:-

1. The tallest man-made structure to date, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is officially opened.
2. The Deepwater Horizon oil rig explodes in the Gulf of Mexico killing 11 workers. The resulting oil spill, one of the largest in history, is not stopped for several months and causes considerable environmental damage to the waters and coastline of several states in the United States and affecting other nearby nations.
3. Nine activists are killed in a clash with soldiers when Israeli Navy forces raid and capture a flotilla of ships attempting to break the Gaza blockade.
4. Spain won the 2010 World Cup with a goal during extra time to beat Netherlands 1-0.

Yep, it has certainly been an exciting year so far. With less than 6 months to 2011, I begin to wonder what have I achieved so far. Can't believe it but zilch! Nothing worth mentioning. As the days go past me, I watch in reluctance how much time I had wasted in doing nothing worth mentioning. The successful says the lazy uses the word "tomorrow" most often. So, tomorrow, I shall work hard. Really.

For today though, I just want to share that I am getting more influenced by the world of Kpop. It's been 3 years I think since I shifted my liking from Jap dramas, thinking it'll be just another shift in liking. But I am wrong! I have been more engrossed with the Korean entertainment industry so much so that I am more aware of K-dramas on KBS World than the local Ch 5 shows. My Iphone consists of songs from artistes/groups like SHINee, SS501, SNSD, Wonder Girls, Big Bang, Taeyang, just to name a few. Everyday Tues, Wed and Thurs, I will be glued to my TV for the Entertainment Weekly, StarBell Challenge and Happy Together episodes respectively.

I am seriously considering signing up for Korean classes. My keyboard has been "upgraded" with Korean characters, allowing me to type simple words in Korean (just to show off lah!). This "phase" is unlikely to wear off anytime soon. And I hope to really learn Korean. Tomorrow, I'll start tomorrow. :)

Until then, my daily dose of Taeyang's Solar album songs will be my aphrodisiac until Big Bang's new album is launched. Anyway, 좋은 주말을 가지고 (have a good weekend)!
